The first
graders are reading a Chapter book called “Ready Freddy and the Penguin Problem”.
The book is about a boy and his first grade class adopting a penguin.
We thought
it would be a fun experience if we adopted a penguin too! We would like the
kids to raise the money for the penguin adoption. The adoption is $50.00 through
the NJ state aquarium. The money we raise will go toward our penguin’s food and
living expenses for the year.
We are going
to begin our coin drive called “Pennies for Penguins”. The idea is for students
to do small chores or good deeds around the house to earn coins. Please do not
send in a large amount of money with your child. If each child raises about
$3.00, we will successfully reach our goal.
Join us for Catholic School's Week Mass and Open house this Sunday, January 29th beginning with Mass at 9:00.
Scholastic Book orders were placed in your child's folder. The classroom access code to order online is: N2KBZ
